Do you like Oingo Boingo? I sure do, as I've recently discovered. For those of you who don't know, Oingo Boingo is what Danny Elfman did before Tim Burton. I swear, it's like Jack Skellington serenading me. It's his voice, after all. I got inspired, after a loooooong dead period. I had taken a leave of absence from DA, trying to get my art going in some sort of new direction. What happened wasn't anything drastic, but I am enjoying the process a lot more than I used to, especially since I'm taking things slowly with my personal art.
I'm sure you can see some Jill Thompson influences here; I'm gaining a love of skeletons which I'm trying to express to other people (my father doesn't really get it.....then again, my father has more of an uneasiness with death than I do, so it's okay). Besides being a cute picture, I see this as trying to say how I feel about my life in general. I'm always trying to see the big picture, and that includes a whole lot of death. I seem to fall in love with the big picture sometimes.
Ah, excuse my ramblings. This really is meant to be lighthearted; and if you haven't checked out Oingo Boingo yet, that's what you should really be doing!

Everything in this room is eatable. Even I'm eatable! But that is called cannibalism, my dear children, and is in fact frowned upon in most societies. -- I wanted to see Roxas. He was the only one I liked. He made me feel like I had a heart.
"Will you stay with me one more night?" Oingo Boingo is the shit. My favourite songs are "Little Girls" and "Dead Man's Party". There's something magical about Mr. Elfman, I do agree. This picture is quite enthralling as well, simple yet delicious. A fantastic combo!

We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
