Good lord, I received a daily deviation. Seems rather out of the blue, considering I haven't posted much to this gallery in a while. If the community likes me that much, I suppose it's a good idea to keep posting, but honestly I would much rather people go to my wordpress blog/website at http://celineloupillustration.net I upload it way more frequently anyways. Well, fall semester concluded, and in a few days I'll be starting spring semester with a whole new set of professors. Fall semester was craaaazy. I worked harder than I ever worked before, I got to meet and exchange contact information with many of the top names in comics, I went to New York and saw James Jean's show and got to meet him, and I landed myself at least one internship (with Carla Speed McNeil, who is a darling darling darling woman and who will probably hoist you up and spin you around like a baton if you give her any shit). Two weeks into class. Junior year of college is shaping up to be a dream come true. Not sure why but I feel like I'm entering this year with so many more tricks up my sleeve to deal with my assignments. Maybe confidence really does make a huge difference. I know I have to work hard and no one is going to go easy on me, but now I feel supported and I know I've got a chance. Last year I had Krall for my main studio class. I feel like he tore me apart and showed me my guts and made me put myself back together better, and if I couldn't do that then I wasn't worth his time.
